WEST offers a wide range of free services that include Essential Skills assessments, support to create your own personal Essential Skills learning plan, and Essential Skills learning opportunities that focus on your workplace or education goals.

General WEST Centre Hours:
General workplace-focused Essential Skills upgrading takes place Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 4:30 to 8:30 PM, and on Saturdays from 1 to 4 PM – Continuous intake
Specific Essential Skills upgrading includes:
Apprenticeship WEST (aWEST) – Trades-focused Essential Skills training – Continuous intake (click here for more information)
Computer Skills for Work:
The Basics offers support for employer referrals and those individuals with a self-identified workplace need. Come when you want for the length of time you need. Classes are offered Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5 PM to 7:30 PM and on Saturdays from 9:30 AM to noon.
